Newbie here with what seems like a dumb question!

I downloaded the following template:-

PEGGIEv3 for tvixie 1.3.1+.rar

Where do I unrar the files/folders to please?
I tried putting the lot into the tvixie template folder, but cannot get the template top show in tvixie itself!
I am running tvixie 1.3.1, so I assume this template should work, but being the complete computer moron I am, I is having major troubles

Hi there and welcome to tvixie forum!

Templates should be unpacked to your TViXiE\Templates\Movie folder

NOTE: Some template.RARs when unpacked will create a sub-folder with the same name whilst others will not. Best practice is to open the template.RAR once you have downloaded it and see if all you immedaiately see is a folder(with the same name as the RAR) or several files(including Template.XML and maybe one or more folder). It is important that you don't end up with a scenario like

TViXiE\Templates\Movie\TEMPLATENAME\TEMPLATENAME from a template>RAR called TEMPLATENAME.RAR

In the case of PEGGIEv3 for tvixie 1.3.1+, you should move the RAR to TViXiE\Templates\Movie and then select 'Extract Here'. This will create a folder with the contents found immediately inside.

You should also be sure that in | TViXiE | Tools | Options | General | you have selected TViX M-6500A/M-6600N/M7000N as the model

Thanks for the reply and info, will try this out now.

As for the model, I am using the "Mede8er" player, does this matter in respect to screen size etc if I select the model you suggest?

Thanks for the info. Mede8er will not work with this template or any of the templates designed for TViXiE since they are all 720p and Mede8er requires 1080p.

Since PEGGIEv3 for tvixie 1.3.1+ is a template you like, I will consider making a 1080p version for you.

NOTE: I am finalising new templates which I hope to have 1080p versions for too.

Anyway, I managed to get your template unrared to where it should be and had a bash using the model you suggested, and it does look good.
I do like the blu-ray style box for the folder art as opposed to the film strip version from the standard template! So I will be looking foward to a Mede8er 1080p compatible template, thanks again.
