You better keep the flash drive in slot. Try it yourself.
Also higher volume doesn't matter but it should be formatted as fat or fat32.

okay, I decided to reformat my 500gb usb hdd to ntfs just to make things easier but now I have another question. Using this 'optimized and preset' version of WDXLTV, my usb hdd doesn't seem to spin down after turning off my wdtv. Is this normal or is there some kind of setting I should change/add to the S00custom-options file? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
